K-Pop on top: ATEEZ hits No. 1 on the Chart Artist 100, JIN re-enters the No. 2

ATEEZ re-enters the latest Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated November 30) at No. 1, becoming the number one track in the United States for the first time in the chart's 10-year history, thanks to the group's new EP, Golden Hour : Part.2.

The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key music consumption metrics: album sales, track sales, radio play and streaming. Using a methodology that includes these metrics, the chart provides a weekly multidimensional ranking of artists' popularity.

Released November 15th on KQ/RCA/hello82, the set debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 184,000 equivalent album units gained in the US in its first week, according to Luminate. He becomes the team's second captain, then The World EP.Fin: Will in December 2023.

ATEEZ is the ninth K-pop song to reach No. 1 on the Artist 100 chart, dating back to its inception in 2014. Here's a chronological review of every K-pop song that has charted:

JIN re-enters the Artist 100 at No. 2, a new high, thanks to his new EP, Happy. The project debuts at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 (77,000 units). becomes the seventh and final BTS member to score a solo top 10 on the chart.

It's worth noting that this is only the third time in Artist 100 history that the top two are K-pop. The first incident was on October 17, 2020, when BLACKPINK and BTS were ranked No. 1 and 2, respectively. In this year's August 3 survey, the top two were Stray Kids and BTS's Jimin.

Rounding out the top five on this week's Artist 100 chart, Linkin Park jumps 29-3, as the group's new album, From scratchlaunches at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, followed by Sabrina Carpenter (3-4) and Morgan Wallen (4-5).
