So earlier this month, Musgraves released the sprawling deluxe album Deeper into the welladding seven new songs, a mix of older and newer tracks, with some she calls “just further ruminations on some of the emotions I explored on the original record. I thought, “What if Deeper well i had some summer boops, how would those sound? Well, there's a couple there.'
New songs include the funky Leon Bridges collaboration “Superbloom” and the official “Irish Goodbye,” which Musgraves notes as “an anthem for anyone who's been ghosted. I think that's something that's happening these days in this genre temporary mindset that many people have when it comes to dating and love.”
Along with his release Deeper into the wellinvites fans to delve into a curated collection of about 50 Etsy pieces — all hand-picked by Musgraves — that complement the album's music.

“It's a treasure trove of unique things you can't find anywhere else. It's like the world's largest real estate sale at your fingertips,” says Musgraves. “I'm on Etsy all hours of the night when I can't sleep and I go down these crazy wormholes finding the most interesting things.”
The new collection features a range of items hand-picked by Musgraves, including hand-painted candles, quilts, wicker baskets, wooden cardinal whistles, boots, incense holders, ceramic mugs and printed linens.
“I love that folk art and country house core are having such a big moment, because those are a lot of the things I gravitate toward,” says Musgraves. “Well, Etsy is the perfect place to find all kinds of things like this.”
For Musgraves, supporting small businesses has been integral to her work with Etsy. “I come from two parents who owned small businesses,” says the Texas native. “They've had a small print shop for as long as I've been alive and every paycheck meant a lot to them. I just always knew the real effect of putting your money in people's hands, that it can really make or break things for them. And so, I'd rather shop on Etsy than go to a big box store where it's just not going to have the same effect.”
Musgraves' mother, Karen Musgraves, is one of Etsy's featured collaborative artists. Among the singer-songwriter's favorite items is a piece made by her mother, a black ceramic container with a rabbit-shaped cap.
“I have one at home in my bathroom, but I said, 'Mom, I have to put this on my favorites list,'” says Musgraves. “She's a brilliant creator in all mediums. She's mostly a painter, but the brain she always comes up with the nicest things. And she's inspired to make pottery and things like that.”
