Kaiser Chiefs today release their new single 'Burning In Flames', taken from their upcoming new studio album, aptly titled Kaiser Chiefs'. Easy Eighth Album, available March 1, 2024.
Upbeat and full of retro-disco sound, 'Burning In Flames' sees frontman Ricky Wilson in a reflective mood, looking back on his successful career to date and his staying power. He explains: “Being in a band for over 20 years is not as easy as we make it seem. Sometimes any of us can feel like we don't want to do it anymore. There aren't many of the bands from the early 2000s left and that's probably sometimes because they don't seem worth it. But if your favorite toy breaks, you don't throw it away, you fix it. The real success is being able to make an easy eighth album.”

Produced by Amir Amor (Rudimental), Kaiser Chiefs Easy Eighth The album sees the band return with a fresh and bold new sound. From Nile Rodgers' co-writing of new single 'Feeling Alright', to the frenetic 'Beautiful Girl', the trumpet-laden Kaiser Chiefs throwback 'Job Center Shuffle' and the joyful gut-punch that is 'Jealousy', these ten songs are a true statement of intent from a band that continues to deliver products time and time again.
The album announcement comes after huge success with previous releases 'Jealousy' and 'How 2 Dance' and a huge headlining tour in the UK late last year.
Where 2019's Duck straddled the euphoria of Northern-Soul and the antithesis of the early 2000s, 2024 will see Kaiser Chiefs thrust into a renewed spotlight, a hook-powered universe in which Ricky Wilson, Andrew “Whitey” White (guitar), Simon Rix (bass), keyboardist Peanut and Vijay Mistry on drums, come together to once again create what they do best; revolutionary belts for the world's dance floor.
After a UK stadium tour, Kaiser Chiefs are shaking things up and will return next year with a series of headline shows in April, including outdoor dates, as well as two special shows in London at Troxy & Flippers Roller Boogie Palace (April 20). and 21). They should not be missed!
