Late last week, Lil Yachty had what many would consider a meltdown on social media — and his former bandmate is responding to some of the heated allegations.
Yachty took to Instagram Live to address a not-so-flattering quote from his podcast A safe place where he and co-host Mitch got into an awkward discussion about work ethic and some deleted tweets from a user X who claimed to have bumped into Karrahbooo's former artist and assistant at a Red Lobster where he allegedly told the fan “They got fired” from the Atlanta rapper's collective Concrete Boys.
Yachty accused Karrahbooo of lying and being manipulative. “Tell people how you verbally abuse people. Don't come in here to make it look like n—like they kicked you out… bullying you? Bro, go tell people how you talk to people… You talk to people like they're small, like they're beneath you,” he said on IG Live, adding, “That's the problem with you young artists. You all become more popular than your actual music. You're $900,000 in the hole and I was getting every receipt.'
Boat also claimed that he wrote all of her lyrics and positioned her as the face of the Concrete Boys. “I wrote every verse you've done,” he proclaimed. Later saying, “I dropped the beat, I put 808 specifically on your verse, so when it got to your hand and the beat dropped, everyone would be like, 'This girl is the craziest,'” in reference to her viral On the radar free.
Well, over the weekend, Karrahbooo reached out to the former label boss.
She initially responded to him via Instagram Stories, saying: “Shut up kid, I'm not writing these songs miles. Stop the cap and leave me out of the internet ramblings.” He continued, “Stop bullying me, I never said anything, letting random fans get into your head.”
Then, during her set at Pepsi Dig In Day in Chicago, Karrahbooo again addressed Yachty's claims of graphic ghosts. While performing her song “Running Late,” she asked the crowd, “Who doesn't write that?… Who doesn't write that?” several times.
The two then took more jabs at each other on Instagram. “Don't throw rocks and hide your hand,” Yachty wrote on his IG Story, to which Karrahbooo responded by saying, “I never threw rocks and you have my number big – leave me alone literally @lilyachty.” Adding, “I never said anything about sh– and I still didn't say anything about what's really going on. how am I done talking, you got it, the departed character speaks for itself.”
