Kathryn Ryan has hit out at Justin Timberlake for his treatment of Britney Spears and Janet Jackson in the past, calling him a “soft-faced eel”.
Timberlake has come under fire for various revelations Spears made about him in her recent memoir The Woman In Me. The couple were between 1998 and 2002 and Spears claimed that Timberlake had cheated on her multiple times and also discussed how he damaged her reputation through the 'Cry Me A River' video, where 'a woman that looks like me cheats on him and wanders around sad in the rain.”
She added that the media saw her as a “whore who had broken America's golden boy's heart” when in fact she was “in a coma in Louisiana” trying to mend her broken heart while Timberlake was “happily running around Hollywood.”
Spears also claimed that he forced her to have an abortion when he got her pregnant because he believed they were “not ready to have a baby in our lifetime” and that they were “too young.” Spears added: “If it was left up to me, I never would have done it.”
Timberlake appeared to acknowledge the incidents when he made a “no disrespect meant” comment during a recent performance of his hit “Cry Me A River” at a surprise show in Las Vegas.
Now, Ryan called out Timberlake on her podcast Telling everyone everything.
“So Justin Timberlake looked up from the rock he'd previously crawled behind to perform at the grand opening of new Las Vegas hotspot Fountainebleau, smugly offering him 'No disrespect' before belting out 'Cry Me A River” and we know at the time there was a lot of press around the song about Britney Spears cheating on him,” Ryan began [via Metro].
“It was supposed to be about their breakup and Justin Timberlake at the time could do no wrong, and I really don't have a problem with him, but that's a slimy fucking thing to say,” she added. “He just wasn't as nice a guy as we thought he was.”
Ryan went on to criticize Timberlake for his actions regarding Janet Jackson's infamous wardrobe malfunction during the Super Bowl halftime show in 2004. Timberlake also took part in the show and exposed Jackson's nipple, which caused major controversy and destroyed her career while Timberlake suffered no consequences.
“He was in that Janet Jackson Superbowl boob reveal and almost lost her career over it and nothing was said about him. He was the one who removed the small part of her bra that almost showed her nipple,” he said.
“Janet Jackson, an iconic legendary black woman, took it all fall because of it and Justin Timberlake was fine, and in his split with Britney, it kind of went off the rails and Justin Timberlake was… well,” before repeat: “He's just not the good guy we thought he was.
“No disrespect, but the new meaning of this song now is just loaded with venom.”
Ryan then addressed Spears' apparent response to Timberlake's “no disrespect comment,” where she said, “I never mentioned how I beat him at basketball … and he would cry … no disrespect!”
“How has Justin not figured out that Britney has proof and that most fans are on her side?” Ryan asked. “Does he think he's just going to get away with it and Britney is going to go back to maintenance? Is Justin Timberlake delusional?'
