It's been four It's been years since Keith Urban last released an album, but the country star is freshening up with his just-released track “Straight Line,” the first single off his upcoming new LP.
“'Straight Line' is the perfect first track from my album because it's a song born from the desire to escape the routine and feel that somewhere along the line, life lost a little color and excitement – 'You and I were like a year – all summer…” Urban said of the single in a statement.
“This song is about taking it back – a message to take back your life and get rid of the dark cloud. If you've seen us in concert, I hope this track gives you the same release.”
Urban has not released a full album since 2020 The Speed of Now Part 1which — four years later — has not been followed by a Part 2. However, he's been hinting at a new studio album for nearly three years now, releasing a string of unique singles like 'Wild Hearts', 'Nightfalls', Brown Eyes Baby and 'Street Called Main' since then. Before releasing his next album, Urban promised to release a new single in March.
