Top Dawg Entertainment president Terrence “Punch” Henderson shared a text conversation with Kendrick Lamar after he trolled him at his Chanel photo shoot in January.
Punch found a black and white photo of K. Dot from his designer fashion shoot at X earlier this week, and playfully took a swipe at Lamar and his feud with Drake by referring to him as a “Certified Boy.”
Punch couldn't get enough of the photo shoot and went directly to Kendrick and sent him a message asking for some background for the photo. “What are you doing, he asked. The Compton legend responded with a handful of crying emojis and added: “I think I'm cute there man. I could not resist.”
The Top Dawg Entertainment executive refused to let Kendrick off the hook that easily. “What are you doing with those dreamy eyes n—a,” he continued. K. Dot couldn't even come up with much of an answer: “I'm crying.
Punch then sought permission to publish the hilarious exchange for the public to see. “Man, you have to let me post this letter. I'm crying,” she wrote. Fans couldn't get enough of his text responses surrounding the Chanel shoot. Someone even modified the lyrics from Lamar's “Euphoria,” Drake diss to fit the situation.
“Punch Kendrick: Let me tell you I'm the biggest hater, I hate the way you dress. I hate the way your eyes look when you look away, if I see you you better be looking straight at me'' replied the fan.
The shoot in question took place in January, when Kendrick was shot by Malick Bodian for Chanel after attending the Spring/Summer 2024 fashion show at Paris Fashion Week.
Lamar and his agency pgLang were directly involved in the creative curation of the fashion show. He teased an unreleased song which scored a visual short recapping the event.
