Kendrick Lamar's “Not Like Us” returns to No. 1, up from No. 6, on the Billboard Global 200 chart, following the premiere of its official video. The diss track marks a second week at the top after debuting at the summit nine weeks earlier.
Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter's “Espresso” rebounds for a seventh week at No. 1, up from No. 2, on Billboard Global Excl. USA chart.
Global 200 and Global Excl. The US charts, which launched in September 2020, rank songs based on streaming and sales activity from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by Luminate. Global 200 includes global data and Global Excl. The US chart includes data from regions outside the United States.
Chart scores are based on a weighted formula that incorporates only official streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of music audio and video services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from worldwide, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from chart calculations.
“Not Like Us” tops the Global 200 with 103.5 million streams (up 33%) and 9,000 sales (up 25%) worldwide from July 5-11. The song's official video premiered on July 4, after the single became a pop culture cornerstone this spring and summer amid the rapper's multi-track battle with Drake. During this time, it was boosted by Lamar's Juneteenth concert The Pop Out: Ken & Friends – in which he performed the track five times – at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
Carpenter's “Espresso” slips to No. 2 after two weeks atop the Global 200, while “Please Please Please” sits at No. 3 after two weeks at No. 1 in June. Shaboozey's “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” drops to No. 4 from its No. 3 high. and Billie Eilish's 'Birds of a Feather' is at No.5, similarly after hitting No.3.
Carpenter's “Espresso” leads the Global Excl. US with 62.3 million streams (down 4%) and 3,000 sold (down 11%) outside the US July 5-11.
Eilish's 'Birds of a Feather' soars to a new No. 2 Global Ex. US high, up from No. 4. Ties best chart previously achieved by “Lunch” in June and “Therefore I Am” in 2020.
Carpenter's “Please Please Please” Steady At No. 3 Global Excl. US, three weeks after the lead; and FloyyMenor and Cris Mj's “Gata Only” climbs 5-4 after reaching No. 3.
Rounding of Global Excl. US top five, “Not Like Us” gains vault 13-5, surpassing its previous peak of No. 7 set on its debut, with 51.7 million streams (up 49%) and 2,000 units sold (up 79% ) outside the US. Lamar earns his first top five chart hits, with his other two top 10s reaching No. 6: “Like That,” featuring Future and Metro Boomin, in April and “N95” in 2022 .
