After breaking his foot during his Coachella performance last weekend, Kid Cudi has cancelled his upcoming 2024 tour with Pusha-T, EARTHGANG, and Jaden.
Kid Cudi was a surprise performer added to weekend two of Coachella, but his set was cut short when he leaped off the stage and fell on his ankle. Cudi had to be carried from the photo pit and ended up in the hospital, writing on Twitter that he had broken his foot.
Now, Cudi has taken to Instagram to provide another update: “Guys, so I have a broken calcaneus,” Cudi wrote on Instagram (followed by the “facepalm” emoji). “Im headed to surgery now and there’s gonna be a long recovery time. We have to cancel the tour so I can focus on getting better to be out there in top shape to rage with you all. Theres just no way I can bounce back in time to give 100%. The injury is much more serious than I thought.”
He continued, saying that fans who purchased tickets will get a full refund and receive an email soon. He also plans on rescheduling the tour altogether, writing “We will be back with new tour dates as soon as possible, and I can’t wait to get back out there with you guys and turn up how we do. I’m so sorry fam and I love you all so much, thanks for the endless love and support. Im really disappointed as im sure you guys are too, but I will be back. That’s a promise.”
Kid Cudi’s “Insano World Tour” was intended to kick off on June 28th, with Pusha-T providing direct support across all dates in North America and Europe.
