Today, they also released a new video for the song 'Feel It'; watch it BELOW:
KillerStar is a new band fronted by Rob Fleming and James Sedge. It features a host of David Bowie's most trusted collaborators: Mike Garson on piano, Earl Slick and Mark Plati on guitar, Gail Ann Dorsey and Tim Lefebvre on bass, Emm Gryner on backing vocals, and Donny McCaslin on saxophone. Collectively, they have created a sound that fuses the scale of classic rock with sophisticated harmonies and elements of art rock.
killer star Expressing the timeless musicality of the 70s and the invention of art-rock through a contemporary prism, highlighted by the singles. “You misunderstood me” “That falls through”, you are a chameleon and “I should have known better,”. The band was formed by Fleming and Sedge to capture a sound they felt was missing: one that linked the current resurgence of psychedelia, the contemporary indie and alternative scenes, and the primordial rock 'n' roll craze of the early '70s. While they were definitely fans of David Bowie, the idea of forming a team of his collaborators came about more by chance than design when Rob invited Emm Gryner to contribute vocals before the other members arrived almost by chance.
With songs that exude gritty rock 'n' roll and time-honoured glamour, the record was completely written and arranged by Rob and James before some top-notch collaborators completed it. Mixing was handled by Dave Eringa, best known for his long-term creative connection with Manic Street Preachers, while Joe La Porta provided digital mastering and Miles Showell mastered the vinyl at Abbey Road.
