Korn kicked off their fall 2024 North American tour on Thursday night (September 12) at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, Florida.
The presentation, which has the support of Gojira and Spirtbox, is scheduled to run through October 27 in St. Paul, Minnesota, with Tickets available here.
Kicking off the event in Tampa, Korn played an 18-song set spanning their entire career, beginning with “Here to Stay” from the 2002 album UntouchablesThe nu-metal pioneers' groundbreaking 1994 self-titled debut, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, was well represented with four songs: “Blind,” “Ball Tongue,” “Clown” and “Shoots and Ladders.”
Meanwhile, frontman Jonathan Davis and company performed three songs each from classic '90s albums. Life is wonderful, Follow the leaderand Affairs., with each album represented in a three-song encore: “Falling Away From Me,” “Good God,” and the show-closing “Freak on a Leash.”
French metallers Gojira, coming off a mind-blowing performance at the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Paris, played 11 songs, several of which made Serious consequenceThe band's recent Top 10 list. Before “Silvera,” Gojira played a bit of “Mea culpa (Ah! Ça ira!),” the song they played at the Olympics.
And rising Canadian metal act Spiritbox opened the night with a six-song set, including the live debut of new standalone single “Soft Spine.”
