Up and coming underground Syracuse, NY Emcee Krazy Attitude dropped his 7th mixtape here about a few months ago on devil's night, which is basically the day before Halloween. He's already put together a full length debut, his previous 6 tapes and 3 EPs all in a span of 5 years with the last time we heard from him being his 6th mixtape Quey Grizzley last year. And seeing some of the titles on here named after classic hip hop tracks from the last 3 decades, I was intrigued. Simulate Death.
After the introduction of “Welcome to the Simulation of Death”, the first song “Serial Killa” freestyles over the Snoop Dogg classic of the same name with Tha Dogg Pound & RBX, while “On & On continues to beat it over one of my favorite tracks Pete Rock & CL Smooth “Rhymeslayer” seems to have new original production with a rawer sound with rhymes for everyone before “BANG!!!” shifting gears into trap territory talking about how much this shit is easy.
“6 INFORMATION!!!” gives me some Detroit trap vibe that organically lowers its opposition just before “Lyrical Assassinator” goes back to his freestyle shit over Public Enemy's “Terminator X to the Edge of Panic”. After the “Reality Check” interlude, “Winter Warz” naturally finds him flowing over Ghostface Killah's timeless stripped-down solo debut Iron Manbut then “Worthless World” combines those synths with kicks and snares that go into its underground bag.
Meanwhile, “Pencil Illness” continues to spit over Madvillain's flawless “All Caps” leading into “Harsh Reality” returning to the boom bap that brings you hard on the lyrical front. “Here's Mr. Terrorist” has a bit of a futuristic sound featuring his almost Eminem-like alter-ego of the same name with Slim Shady and fittingly enough “Scary Movies” with Kean Asé joining forces over the beat from the flawless b -side from Bad Meets Ǝvil.
After the break of “How High”, “Smile More” follows a suspenseful vibe organically trying to show you all the right way, while “The Night Stalker” flows over “Blow” from Tyler, the unique mixtape Creator Bastard already fucked celebrates her 14th birthday in a few days. “Unhinged” this time freestyles Earl Sweatshirt's “Luper” while heavy “DTF” admits to being crazy.
“Hellraiser” kicks off the tape's encore by weaving those ominous synth patterns into the killer-talking pass, and “Kill Them All” closes the tape with 1 final freestyle. Song choice is “Skrunt Owt” by Fam-Lay or Tyler, The Creator's freestyle “Splatter” at the start of Odd Future's 2nd and final mixtape Radical who turned 13 about 7 months ago.
If you're into early 2010s hip hop and 90s hip hop with polysyllabics and internal rhyming schemes along with gritty/horror lyrics and braggadocio rhymes, then you'll want to give this mixtape a shot here. Check out some of his influences throughout the project and feel reminiscent of Lil Wayne's track record Dedication series
