With his seventh album, Natural MagicTopping the independent album charts and their spring UK tour kicking off in Cardiff on April 22, Kula Shaker's unstoppable comeback continues with the announcement of a new double A-side single, released on April 13.
Dubbed PEACE WHEEL, the release includes two new tracks, 'Rational Man' and 'Bringing It Back Home (Radha Ramana Hari bol!)', which highlight the band's irruptive live energy and give the current tired single format a much needed boost. . Both tracks will also be available as an exclusive A Ltd double-sided 7-inch single and digitally.
The two peace-themed songs were recorded at London's legendary RAK studios, where the band recorded much of their multi-platinum debut album, K. Both songs were mixed by Ash Howes, who also mixed their entire recent album. , Natural Magic.
About the new single, songwriter and bassist Alonza Bevan says: “Our double A-side approach is like two sides of the human brain: 'Rational Man' is about an ordinary man, who actually has a brain, who struggles to find some reasonable sanity in the world. “So ‘Bringing it Back Home’ is about finding a spiritual solution.”
Crispian Mills adds: “'Bringing it Back Home' also features the famous Indian kirtan song, 'Radha Ramana, Hari bol', so it is fitting and auspicious that it was recorded in the same room where we recorded 'Govinda', all those years ago.”
The 7-inch Ltd Edition will be available on gold smoke vinyl to order at on April 13, the same day as the single's digital release.
