Additionally, Sabrina Carpenter launches at No. 2 on the Global 200 and No. 3 on the Global Excl. USA with “Taste” and “Good Luck, Babe!” of Chappell Roan. reaches the World Ex. US top 10, rising 11-9, while also ranking at No. 8 on the Global 200.
Global 200 and Global Excl. The US charts, which launched in September 2020, rank songs based on streaming and sales activity from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by Luminate. Global 200 includes global data and Global Excl. The US chart includes data from regions outside the United States.
Chart scores are based on a weighted formula that incorporates only official streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of music audio and video services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from worldwide, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from chart calculations.
“Die With a Smile” tops the Global 200 with 97.2 million streams (up 29%) and 12,000 sales (down 62%) worldwide from August 23-29. The ballad, released on August 16, becomes Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' first No. 1 on the Global 200 since the chart began.
Sabrina Carpenter's “Taste” opens at No. 2 on the Global 200 with 102 million streams and 8,000 sales worldwide. She adds her third top 10 on the chart, with her “Espresso” at No. 3 after three straight weeks at No. 1 beginning in June and “Please Please Please” pushing 6-4 after two weeks at No. 1. also since June. All three songs are from her new album, Short n' Sweetwhich is at No. 1 on the US-based Billboard 200.
Billie Eilish's ” Birds of a Feather ” falls to No. 5 on the Global 200 after spending the past three weeks at No. 1.
“Die With a Smile” concurrently leads the Global Excl. US with 67 million streams (up 39%) and 6,000 sold (down 54%) non-US August 23-29. As on the Global 200, it is Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' first No. 1 since the survey began.
Eilish's “Birds of a Feather” falls to No. 2 after three weeks atop Global Excl. US
Carpenter's “Espresso” rebounds 4-3 in Global Excl. US, after eight non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 beginning in May, while her “Taste” bows at No. 4 with 60.2 million streams and 3,000 sold outside the US, becoming her third top 10 and “Please Please Please” climbs 7-5 after a week at June's No. 1.
Also in Global Excl. The US top 10 hit 'Good Luck, Babe!' by Chappell Roan! advances 11-9, led by 32.1 million streams (up 6%). As on the Global 200, where the song ranks at No. 8 after peaking at No. 7, it becomes her first Global Excl. The US top 10.
