Lady Gaga delivered an electrifying performance for viewers around the world on Friday night with her performance at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, but she delighted French fans with something even sweeter: new music.
Two days after gracing the Seine with a rendition of “Mon Truc en Plume,” Gaga launched into Instagram On Sunday, thanking her Parisian fans, she wrote on her story: “I am deeply moved by my French fans who are outside the hotel this week. I will go out and say goodbye tonight with a few seconds of #LG7.”
She promptly left her hotel, climbed into a limo and emerged through the sunroof with her laptop in hand. She then played two snippets of a new song — it’s hard to discern what she’s singing in the snippets amid the Parisian fanfare, but the clips show the song had a thumping, percussive electro-pop beat and a sweeping bassline. Watch clips captured by a Lady Gaga fan previewing the song below.
Lady Gaga's last album was 2020 Chromaticmeaning the new musical snippets serve as a first taste of the singer's yet-to-be-announced seventh album. While she's certainly been working on some new songs, she's also set to star in the new musical jester Follow up Joker: Madness of two, arriving on October 4th.
She also recently celebrated her extensive 2022 “Chromatica Ball Tour” with a concert film titled GAGA CHROMATIC BALL, which was released on Maximum in May and it is Available to stream now.
