Lady Gaga wasted no time in shutting down recent pregnancy rumors, taking to TikTok to post a cheeky response video that includes a lyrical reference to Taylor Swift.
“Not pregnant – just crying at the gym,” reads the message on her latest TikTok, referring to Swift Department of Tormented Poets The track “Down Bad,” which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 last month. (Full verse: “Now I'm sick of crying in the gym/ It's all coming out teenage angsty.”)
Gaga also didn't miss a high-profile opportunity to urge her Little Monsters to make their voices heard, adding: “Sign up to vote on www.headcount.org.”
The video itself sees Gaga in a striking look with black eyeliner, lip-syncing to a TikTok voice saying: “I don't need to find an aesthetic. I I am an aesthetic. I mean I'm sure there's someone out there right now going on Pinterest trying to type in all these adjectives to describe my.” The audio was originally posted by TikTok user notpennyproud back in 2021.
Pregnancy rumors swirled over the weekend, thanks to fans who believed they saw evidence of a baby bump in photos of Gaga attending her sister's wedding to her partner Michael Polansky on Saturday.
At the end of last month, the Gaga Chromatica Ball The concert film premiered on HBO and Max and hinted at the pop superstar's next musical era, with a message that read “LG7 GAGA RETURNS” flashing across the screen at the end. And that won't be her only major project: her turn as Harley Quinn in the upcoming Joker: Folie à Deux musical continuity — alongside the original Joker Starring Joaquin Phoenix — set to hit theaters on October 4.
