Lady Gaga has been tapped for a role in Wednesday Season 2 and is currently filming for the Netflix show in Europe, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly.
Full details are unknown at this time, but Ortega previously spoke with Variety on the 2023 Golden Globes red carpet about a hypothetical role for Gaga: “I think Mrs. Thornhill and Wednesday had this weird mentor relationship or kind of understood each other in a certain way, so, if Lady Gaga were to be a part, I think it would have to be two monsters that understand each other.”
Gaga’s appearance in Wednesday comes after her 2011 hit “Bloody Mary” saw a resurgence on TikTok when it was spliced with Ortega’s viral dance from the show. The artist acknowledged the trend by posting her own TikTok clip, which you can watch below.
The singer-actress is coming off a co-starring role in Joker: Folie à Deux after appearing in films like A Star Is Born and House of Gucci. Her previous TV experience includes her Golden Globe-winning portrayal of Elizabeth Johnson/The Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel.
She also recently released “Disease” as the first single from her upcoming eighth album, set to drop in February 2025.
