The pop group has rescheduled some tour dates while the frontman recovers
Paul Jason Klein, the frontman of pop group LANY is recovering from his injuries after being hit by a vehicle while riding a scooter last week. The singer shared the news of the accident on Instagram, where he posted two photos of him in the hospital and at home with bandages and braces.
“Hi everyone – Thursday night last week I was hit by a car while on my Vespa on my way home from the gym. I really don't remember anything after the crash … I woke up on a stretcher being put into an ambulance,” Klein wrote. “I have cried tears of gratitude and joy for the past few days. I know how lucky I am to still be here.”
The singer added that while his vitals are stable and improving, “walking and moving around is still a challenge. I'm gradually getting better though and I'll be at 100% very soon.”
LANY, which consists of Klein and drummer Jake Goss, were scheduled to perform a series of concerts in Australia and New Zealand from June 19th to June 30th. The concerts will be rescheduled at the recommendation of Klein's doctors in order to “post my recovery,” he explained. New tour dates will be shared in the coming days.
“Thank you for your understanding,” Klein continued. “This experience only heightened the feelings of purpose I have, so I'm looking forward to healing and getting back to it. All other tour dates remain the same. I love you and this life deeply! I'll see you soon.”
