Just days before the Fugees kick off their long-awaited 2024 tour, their comeback shows have been canceled, and at the moment no one knows why.
According Variety, Ticketmaster began issuing refunds and cancellation notices to ticket holders on Tuesday (August 6), with no explanation. There's no word from Ticketmaster or Live Nation as to why the shows were suddenly canceled, but don't be surprised if people start pointing fingers sooner or later, as rumors will start circulating online at some point.

Ticket holders posted screenshots of a message they received from Live Nation stating simply, “Your event has been canceled. A refund will be issued to your account shortly.”
The tour was set to kick off Friday in Tampa, with the American leg culminating at the Hollywood Bowl on Sept. 17 and performing in New York and New Jersey on Sept. 20-21. Other cities scheduled for now-cancelled shows included Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston and Milwaukee — a total of 18 US dates.
Although all the US dates are gone, tickets are still on sale for an overseas tour that starts with a show in Manchester, England on October 12th and ends in Amsterdam on October 22nd, with shows in London and Paris in between. It's unclear if those shows will go the way of the American tour or if the European shows will remain on the calendar.
This isn't the first time a Fugees tour has been derailed. this has been happening consecutively for the last few years. Their first announced tour in 2021 was postponed thanks to the COVID pandemic only for the group to play a handful of shows in 2022 before canceling the rest of the dates. They managed to do a few more shows in 2023, which led to some excitement for the 2024 leg. Unfortunately, that doesn't look like it's going to happen in the US
