As a longtime friend of Adele’s future husband Rich Paul (and general music lover), it’s no surprise that LeBron James would pop up at one of the shows on her Munich residency (get tickets here). After all, he deserves a break after leading the Team USA men’s basketball team to a gold medal at the Paris Olympics last week.
Based on footage that’s surfaced online, it looks like the concert LeBron attended was hit with heavy rain, but it’s clear he was unbothered. Prepared for the occasion, he simply broke out a massive umbrella and continued vibing out to the music. In the clip below, LeBron goes hard while Adele performs “Set Fire to the Rain.” How appropriate.
Though Adele recently said she doesn’t have “any plans for new music,” it wouldn’t be out of the question for LeBron to be involved in some capacity when she returns to the studio.
Back in 2016, James had a hand in getting Kendrick Lamar to release his untitled unmastered. album. He also served as the executive producer of 2 Chainz’s 2019 album, Rap or Go to the League.
Even if that doesn’t happen, LeBron is never more relatable than when he’s out in public being a huge music fan. Earlier this summer, he was spotted at Kendrick’s “Pop Out” concert on Juneteenth.
Fans who aren’t able to make it out to Munich can catch Adele on the remainder of her Las Vegas “Weekends With Adele” residency in October and November. Tickets can be purchased here.
