If you're a fan of Lego and music, the Danish construction toy company has a vintage radio model that intersects with two of your passions.
Exclusive to Lego.com, the Lego Retro Radio (No. 10334) is a replica of a 1970s transistor radio. It's priced at $99.99 and drops on Saturday, June 1st.
The set comes with 906 Lego pieces that make up the retro radio. Features a clickable on-off switch, rotary dial and side-to-side sliders, folding handle and adjustable antenna.
Although it may look like a vintage radio, it doesn't actually play music or work like a transistor radio. However, it simulates rattling sound effects, static and Lego weather reports and calls with a special Sound Brick (batteries included). Just turn it on and rotate the dial to find a radio station to play random phrases.
It also has a built-in smartphone dock on the back so you can listen to your favorite songs and podcasts through your streaming app, including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and more. Unfortunately, the speakers in this set are not working.
In the meantime, if you're looking for some extra Lego sets for Father's Day, we can recommend this one Pac-Man arcade and Atari 2600 set — both are great for retro dads.
Available Saturday, June 1, the Lego Retro Radio – which is ideal for builders aged 18 and up – costs $99.99 and comes in aqua ice, soft mint, cozy tan and huggable coloring.
