Liam Gallagher has announced that he and his brother Noel will not do any joint interviews for the Oasis reunion in 2025 because they do not want to answer “intrusive questions” and have the media try to “pick holes in our relationship.”
Liam tweeted the revelation on Thursday, October 10, while responding to a user who suggested that fans should respect the idea that the Gallagher brothers' relationship is more important than the band itself and acknowledge the damaging role the media played in their tensions. In response, Liam wrote “RESPEK.”
In another response, Liam explained: “We don't want to do interviews because we're afraid the media will ask us intrusive questions and try to find holes in our relationship.” While responding to another tweet asking about an interview, Liam said the brothers “can't be idiots.” And when someone asked if there would be a press conference, he wrote: “They're not getting one.”
In fact, Liam appears to have a much healthier relationship with his older brother, who he once described as a “potato” who damaged the Oasis brand. When asked by a Twitter user if Noel was still a potato, Liam wrote: “No he's doing great, no I won't say a bad word about that beautiful talented young man.”
In another tweet, Liam confirmed that the brothers' animosity is over. “Peace has prevailed, he is the man,” he wrote. “I can't wait to be on stage with him blowing kisses between each song.”
Oasis will perform for the first time since 2009 next year at shows in the UK, Ireland, Australia, Mexico and the US. Additional dates are expected to be announced for cities in Asia and South America. Get tickets here.
