Out with the old and in with the new for Life Is Beautiful, which is transitioning from a music festival to a “block party” format in Las Vegas.
The revamped event, A Big Beautiful Block Party, is scheduled for September 27-28 and will “transform downtown Las Vegas into a massive dance party,” according to its organizers. They say their new approach will lead to a more intimate experience by eliminating overlapping sets and scheduling performances from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily.
The festival will be held at a smaller venue near downtown's famous Fremont Street Experience, a five-minute walk from the Arts District. It's a big moment for Life Is Beautiful, which had operated as a three-day festival since its inception in 2013. The brand was acquired by Rolling Stone almost a decade later.

Tickets for A Big Beautiful Block Party will be released on Thursday, June 27 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. General admission passes start at $199 and VIP passes start at $399.
