Ghost In Real Life have released their most challenging single yet, a drum & bass heater called “YCTMWTD (You Can't Tell Me What To Do).”
Available now in the midst of Women's History Month, the song highlights Ghost In Real Life's diverse musical background. The track is a pop-punk-influenced joyride, forgoing traditional drum & bass structure. The halftime-inspired releases are filled with rumbling percussion and sinuous synths, hypnotizing as a vocal earworm ebbs and flows.
Ghost In Real Life's recent wave of production has leaned heavily toward drum & bass, from their collaborative effort with Slippy “Youth” to their 2024 debut single “Stuck In Purgatory.” His latest single isn't the only thing he's done to support women recently after releasing a limited collection of merchandise, with 50% of the proceeds benefiting Girls Make Beats.
Ghost In Real Life was also recently Announced in direct support of Sub Focus, Dimension, Culture Shock and the upcoming 1991 sold-out show at the Hollywood Palladium on March 30.
