After 16 residencies and numerous shows on the White Isle, it should come as no surprise that Armin van Buuren's new single, “Es Vedrà”, pays homage to the legendary Spanish island of Ibiza.
“Ibiza is said to be home to sirens and sea nymphs, who attempted to lure Odysseus from his ship in Homer's work. Odyssey“It is also considered the sacred island of Tanit, the Phoenician moon goddess revered as a patron of fertility, who became the patron saint of Ibiza. This inspired me to make a song about the island.”
A chorus of voices kicks off the progressive house track, seducing us with a siren song that repeats throughout the arrangement. Meanwhile, its dazzling beat builds into a nimble drop, both in rhythm and melody, that calls out for a sun-drenched dance floor. The energy of “Es Vedrà” only increases throughout the song, turning the song into a track of mythological proportions.
The song comes ahead of an extensive tour by the famed Dutch DJ, which includes a September residency at legendary Ibiza club Ushuaïa.
