Jessica Pratt shared another new song from Here in Pitts, her upcoming album due out this Friday, May 3rd. On “The Last Year,” the track that closes the record, Pratt sings about faith after a particularly difficult time. It follows her previously released singles 'World on a String' and 'Life Is'. Watch “The Last Year” below.
Here in Pitts released May 3 via Mexican summer. It is the fourth full length solo album of her career and follows in 2019 Quiet signs. Pratt will tour this summer in support of her album, including a special live set at Pitchfork Music festival in Chicago in July. Joanna Sternberg will open select shows on her tour.
Last year, Australian pop star Troye Sivan sampled Pratt's “Back, Baby” from her 2014 album, Again to your own love, for his song 'Can't Go Back, Baby'. Pratt was surprised that Sivan was a fan and happily approved the usage, telling Pitchfork, “'Back, Baby' was recorded on a tape in a small bedroom 10 years ago, so it was really unexpected to get a request from him. Like everyone else, I find Troye irresistible.”
