Producing house music with responsive bass, Merow has released his debut EP on Martin Garrix's STMPD RCRDS.
The Dutch DJ and producer doesn't mess around VOL. RELATED TO THE BASS. 1which has three tracks. Brimming with adrenaline, each pulses with dark, intense rhythms designed for peak moments on the dance floor.
From the animalistic energy of “The Moshpit” to the raw, relentless beats of “To The Beat,” Merow's fearless production grabs you by the throat and drags you into the heart of a warehouse rave. Although firmly rooted in bass house, it incorporates subtle influences from UK garage music, adding depth and texture.
The cohesive sound of the EP demonstrates a clear vision of Merow's musical identity. She says the project is the result of her first international summer tour, a personal triumph that led to her most creative work yet.
“Working on this EP while on tour was a very special process for me,” Merow said in a statement shared with EDM.com. “I had the opportunity to experiment with new sounds, combining bass elements with different rhythms. One of the most exciting things was creating a UK Garage-influenced tempo change track, which was something I hadn't done before.”
