Hurry, it's dinner time — order, why Lizzo it's hot to go! In her new post Instagram on Thursday night (September 12), the “Good as Hell” singer shared her own interpretation of it Chapel RoanThe smash hit of “Hot to Go!”
Dressed in an oversized t-shirt that said she's “100% that b—h,” Lizzo sang the song's chorus, “HOTTOGO/ You can take me hot to go,” before delivering a blistering riff on the final note.
“Ahhh and on that note, goodnight!” Lizzo captioned the video, adding in a separate comment that fans could call her “Usher Roan.”
This is not the first time Lizzo has spoken about the “Pink Pony Club” singer. After Roan posted a series of TikToks setting firm boundaries with her fans, Lizzo he responded with a message of support. “We all need a refresher on empathy. It is very careful. Very humble,” she said. “I'm going to ride for Chappell because I see myself in her… She has the right to speak for herself. He has the right to feel what he feels.”
The news comes just weeks after Lizzo announced she would be taking “a gap year” as a means of “protecting my peace”. Based in Bali, the singer shares regular updates with fans about her time abroad, including a comparison video that saw her reflect on her mental health journey over the past three years.
“I wouldn't put this on IG, but in 2021 I would be very proud of 2024,” she wrote. “And I'm NOT just talking about my body, if I only knew what I've done to my mental and emotional health over the last year… don't worry, I'll write an album about it.”
