“Do the DANCE” never felt more alive than on Friday night, when Justice took the Hollywood Bowl by storm with a performance for the ages.
Fresh out of your shiny hyperdrama album, the historic duo transformed the iconic venue into a kinetic, neon-lit cathedral of electronic music. Nearly 18,000 fans were on hand to witness the largest independent headline show of his career in the United States.
Justice's Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay are said to have spent months working with “a team of seven computer scientists” to produce their new live show. And the enthusiasm was very real, delivering a show that reinforced their position as pioneers of dance music.
The Bowl was buzzing with energy, especially when they interpolated vocals from Jay-Z's hip-hop classic “On to the Next One” with “DANCE,” a longtime staple of their sets. The place also broke down when they performed the classic “We Are Your Friends.”
