Last year they flew like pterodactyls. This year they are digging for fossils.
After the recent reveal of the 2024 Lost Lands lineup, its organizers returned with news of a major logistics upgrade, a permanent solution for attendees to safely navigate from the festival to the campsites.
We've been reporting on how much Lost Lands has grown and improved since its debut in 2017. Since finding their home in Legend Valley, Excision and his team have expanded the festival through new stages, production and runways, but the road between the place and its camps have always presented a perplexing challenge.
In 2023, organizers helped ease the flow of pedestrian traffic by building a large bridge over the highway, eliminating the need to wait for police to stop cars traveling on the busy highway. They are now building a tunnel under the road that will connect the Lost Lands headquarters and the camps without the need for stairs, so that everyone can travel freely between the two areas without impeding traffic.
The new tunnel is currently under construction, according to Lost Lands, and should be ready before it opens this year. You can read the official announcement below.
The next Lost Lands festival will take place September 20-22 at Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio. Tickets on sale now.
We are very proud and excited to announce the new Lost Lands Tunnel project! This permanent solution will allow attendees to easily transition between camps and the festival site throughout the week.
Stay tuned for another important announcement coming soon! pic.twitter.com/KR6tSqd1TX
