Two-time CMA Entertainer of the Year winner Luke Bryan turned a slump into a viral moment over the weekend when he played a show in Vancouver, Canada.
The incident happened during Bryan's Mind of a Country Boy tour when he slipped and fell on stage, landing on his back on top of a fan's cell phone that had been thrown on stage.
Bryan quickly recovered and in his signature act, turned it into a humorous moment, asking the crowd, “Did anyone get it?” before handing the phone back to its owner and joking: “My lawyer will call.”
He then gave the crowd an instant replay of the fall by holding up a phone from another concertgoer who had recorded video of the fall and having the concert cameraman zoom in on the video, bringing it to the big screens for all to see.
Bryan also joked to the audience: “Hey, I need some viral. This is viral, okay? This is viral!' As the video played, he said, “Okay, let's go again. Let me be, let's go… there it is!'
Bryan seemed unfazed by the short fall and continued with his headlining set. In addition, the American Idol judge the song contest the following night, offering a cover of John Mellencamp's “Small Town.”
Bryan has additional shows in Saskatoon and Winnipeg as part of the Canadian leg of his tour, with the next leg kicking off in June in Jacksonville, Florida at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
