Machine Gun Kelly returned to the rap side with his piano-laden single “Dont Let Me Go” on Wednesday (February 21), which he quickly followed up with a suggestive visual.
The desolate tune finds MGK revealing a “breakdown” that led to his massive new blackout tattoo, while also touching on his broken relationship with his late father, substance abuse, mental health issues and more that contribute to his downfall .
“Just the way I'd like to be understood once/ I had a breakdown and tamponed my entire body except for one line,” she admits.
The clip is kept simple for the most part, with MGK staring straight into the soul of the lens with scenes jumping from him at the piano to the dark forest and the Cleveland city skyline.
“Before my daddy left to serve/ He made sure I got every quality I didn't want/ I was supposed to die at birth/ He gave me one chance and I did, give me another,” Kells raps in brutally honest fashion.
Machine Gun Kelly refers to the miscarriage suffered by Megan Fox's fiancee, which she spoke about in her poetry book last year. “I've never experienced anything like this in my life,” the actress claimed.
“How can I live with the fact/ That my hand wasn't on her stomach when we lost the baby?/ I ain't got nobody to turn to/ Cause everybody's dead in my life that tried to raise me,” he raps.
