Forget like a virgin – more like a queen! Madonna not only lived to tell, but she lived to laugh and bounce back like the pro she was when she took the stage during her show on Sunday (February 18) at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.
In multiples videos taken by fans shared online, the Queen of Pop performs the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 of 1987's “Open Your Heart” during the second night of her Celebration tour in the Emerald City, when her show hit a brief roadblock. While the seven-time Grammy winner sits in a chair and sings in front of a camera, a dancer in stiletto heels begins to tilt her seat back and pull her across the stage as she runs. Suddenly he slips and falls, taking Madonna with him.
Ever the consummate professional, the superstar continues, rolling over to continue singing her hit before smiling and laughing audibly from the fall.
The pop icon first announced her celebratory tour in January 2023. The world trek celebrates four decades of her music and was originally set to kick off in July of that year. However, Madonna was hospitalized with a “serious bacterial infection” over the summer and was forced to postpone the tour. The delayed trek finally kicked off with a run of sold-out shows at London's O2 Arena and is set to conclude at the end of April with five shows in Mexico City.
The Material Girl addressed her health scare during her Oct. 21 show in Belgium. “Less than four months ago, I was in a hospital and I was unconscious, and people were thinking, predicting that I might not make it,” she told fans at the concert. “It is a miracle of the king that I am here at this moment. My mother, God bless her, must watch over me. He said, “Girl, it's not your time to go.”
