The Queen of Pop has also faced multiple lawsuits linked to late start times for her ongoing holiday tour
Madonna has been hit with yet another lawsuit related to her ongoing Celebration tour, but instead of simply claiming that the shows started too late, this new suit alleges that she pushed pornography on concertgoers.
In the action considered by tour-8656095″ rel=”nofollow” target=”_blank”>Entertainment Weekly, Justen Lipeles – who attended Madonna's Los Angeles show at the Kia Forum – claimed that attendees were exposed to “pornography without warning”, including “topless women on stage simulating sexual acts”. Beyond that allegation, Lipeles' suit included the same allegations that had surfaced in recent months: that the venue was uncomfortably hot and that she and promoter Live Nation engaged in false advertising because she took the stage more than an hour later than stated Time 20:30.
A rep for Madonna did not immediately respond Rolling rockhis request for comment on the new suit.
Madonna first sued in January over late start times connected to her Brooklyn shows at the Barclays Center. Plaintiffs Michael Fellows and John Hadden alleged that they “faced limited public transportation, limited sharing, and/or increased public and private transportation costs at that late hour” and that some participants “had to get up early to go to work or /and take care of their family obligations the next day.”
Regarding that suit, Madonna and Live Nation said that “the shows opened in North America at Barclays in Brooklyn as scheduled, with the exception of a technical issue on December 13 during soundcheck. This caused a delay that was well documented in press reports at the time. We intend to defend this case vigorously.”
Last month, three more fans who attended her Washington shows filed a similar lawsuit, claiming that the venue was hot and that they “had to leave the concerts early before the concerts ended, thereby depriving each of them of the benefit of seeing the full concert.”
