Capping off the release of a stunning new EP, Martin Garrix's latest offering is a euphoric festival anthem that delves into the depths of a broken heart.
The Dutch EDM superstar has already released IDEM after releasing his four songs in consecutive weeks. This time she reunited with DubVision for “Empty,” firing up the nostalgia machine to produce a progressive house anthem featuring Jaimes.
Garrix and DubVision masterfully weave a tapestry of sound that captures the anguish of a heart marked forever, but resilient in its refusal to be saved. Like shards of glass, the song's lyrics pierce through its happy melodies to reveal a cautious soul fighting the relentless onslaught of heartbreak.
“Don't try to change me, it's a waste of time / Don't look for my heart, it's empty inside,” Jaimes sings.
“Empty” follows the releases of three IDEM singles: “Biochemical”, “Breakaway” and “Carry You”. The full EP is now officially available on streaming platforms and you can listen to it below.
