Maxïmo Park today shares his new single 'Favourite Songs' along with news of his upcoming UK and EU headlining tour dates in the autumn.
'Favourite Songs' is the band's salute to the power of pop music in its ability to provide comfort in times of need and a place to retreat with like minds. Choppy riffs, shimmering synths and a rousing chorus propel 'Favourite Songs' to a place of collective joy, while singer Paul Smith's assurances that “All our problems will disappear” They sound with joy. As the band's first new music in over 18 months, it's a song that gets them in the celebratory mood again, reveling in the power of music to create the strongest bonds and send the strongest messages.
