Hawke explains how he wrote some of the songs for angel of chaos at the same time she was working on Wildcatthe Flannery O'Connor biopic starring and directed by her father, Ethan Hawke (listen to his talk about that project in Kyle Meredith with… here). She then delves into how the album's opening dialogue was taken from a strange psychic session she had with a pair of witches when she was 11, during which they attempted to cure her anxiety by putting her in “a golden egg.”
The musician and actor continues to talk about his insomnia attacks and a particularly powerful quote from Allen Ginsberg, as well as offering an update on filming the final season of Strange things.
