Megan Thee Stallion brought the heat to New York on Monday as her Hot Girl Summer arena tour hit Madison Square Garden. The Houston native knows what it's like to feel the love from her hometown crowd, and while she was miles away from hers, her Bronx sidekick Cardi B was just a phone call away.
Meghan welcomed Cardi to the stage during the second act of the show when the GloRilla tour headliner took the stage to perform 'Wanna Be'. Leading into the third act, Cardi stuck around and teamed up with Megan for the NSFW pandemonium “WAP” and “Bongos,” their second collaboration, which arrived less than a year ago.
“This song has been part of a plan for a minute,” Cardi told Hot 97 about “Bongos,” mentioning that she envisioned having Megan on the track before anything was even recorded. “It's just one of those records where you need somebody. And even in those places, where it is, I did lyrics for it, but then it seems like a distant song.”
He added: “He always sends lyrics and I cut them and it's really good for me. She's my wife at work.”

She is always open to anything I say or any suggestion, so I like that about her. She is not afraid to try anything and her ego is not big. She is not a woman who is afraid to say “you are right”. Well, I really like that about her work.”
He added: “In friendship, it's so real. When I first met her, she was so shy! One would probably see her online and think her personality would be one way, no, she's quite the opposite. But as we got more [close as] friends — you know how people start off shy and then say, “Oh yeah, that's the real you”? — I feel that I will definitely see the real her. She's just so nice, and she's a really kind person. That's what I really like about her. And she's just raw. The first thing that comes to this lady's mind, she will say! I like this too. I respect such people. He's definitely a 'take it how you want to take it' kind of guy.”
