A philanthropic Hottie!
Megan Thee Stallion is giving back by announcing on Thursday (July 18) that her Pete and Thomas Foundation partnered with Bread Of Life, Inc. to launch the Emergency Power Program. The program aims to ensure that senior citizens in Houston, Texas — Meg’s hometown — have access to power during natural disasters. The initiative comes after Hurricane Beryl blew through the city, leaving at least 18 people dead and two million people without power.
”It’s been painful to watch the elderly population in Houston suffer without electricity during these devastating storms,” the rapper said in a statement via the program’s Instagram announcement. “That’s why we wanted to partner with Bread Of Life to take a strategic approach to this problem and secure generators to help protect our senior citizens. We need to do our part to provide our elders with the best resources possible to withstand future emergencies.”
The “Savage” star began the Pete and Thomas Foundation non-profit in February 2022 to help women, children, senior citizens and marginalized communities.

Meg has a longtime passion for helping others, and got her health administration degree in December 2021. Though Megan started to achieve acclaim for her rap talents while attending classes on campus, she revealed that she wanted to continue her studies to honor Holly Thomas, her mother who died in March 2019 after battling brain cancer. “I want to get my degree because I really want my mom to be proud,” she told People. “She saw me going to school before she passed.”
She added that seeing her grandmother’s devotion to education inspired her as well. “My grandmother that’s still alive used to be a teacher, so she’s on my butt about finishing school,” the rapper added. “I’m doing it for me, but I’m also doing it for the women in my family who made me who I am today.”
