Megan Thee Stallion is ready to tell her story on her own terms and In Her Words. Amazon's Prime Video gave fans a first look at the candids Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words documentary when the reveal trailer was released on Wednesday (October 16).
The Hotties have another reason to celebrate Hottieween, as it's going to be a busy, scary season for Meg with In Her Words is expected to be released on Prime Video on October 31st. The heartbreaking documentary peels back the layers of Megan Thee Stallion and allows fans a peek behind the curtain of who Megan Pete is.
In addition to reliving her meteoric rise to stardom, fans will experience the pain Meg endured with the loss of her mother in 2019, which left her disoriented, and how she dealt with the backlash and trauma of Tory Lanez's shooting in 2020.
Lanez is currently behind bars after being sentenced in August 2023 to 10 years in prison for the shooting. was convicted in December 2022 of three felony charges for shooting the rapper in the legs during a drunken argument.
“I want people to understand how this affects me,” she says at one point in the trailer, breaking down in tears. “I want people to see how I feel.”
She shared, “I was definitely a little too wrapped up in social media.”
Meg's Hotties will take a journey that will show the three-time Grammy Award winner at her lowest and highest, as well as the hard work it takes to be Megan Thee Stallion, including grueling rehearsals, late night studio sessions and never stop travel – all while getting her degree.
TIME Studios, Roc Nation and Amazon MGM Studios produced the documentary. Nneka Onuorah sits in the director's chair.
