Metro Boomin is currently in hot water after old tweets from the producer surfaced that some fans believe show signs of grooming young women. This comes amid ongoing beef and allegations Kendrick Lamar aiming at its direction Drake.
As most will remember, Metro Boomin, 30, is credited as part of the genesis of the current iteration of the beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar after the Compton star dropped his blistering “Like That” verse on WE DON'T TRUST YOU album with Future and the producer. In. In the weeks since the release of the track where Drake and J. Cole's shots were taken, many songs have been traded but none more explosive than “Euphoria.”
On “Euphoria,” K-Dot claims that Drake tends to date younger women, and repeats those claims on the following songs, the haunting “Meet The Grahams” and the catchy “Not Like Us.”
Metro Boomin was kind of cheering for K-Dot (and Drizzy's death) from the sidelines, especially all the bars dealing with Drake's character. However, the producer's tweets seem to put him in the same alleged boat as fans accusing him of grooming.
This was just one of the many tweets fans found online, and to be fair, many of the users are clearly rooting for Drake. However, a tweet from 2014 from Metro reads “She may be but ready”, so she would have been 20 at the time.
In a now-deleted tweet published by Metro just today (May 7), he mistakenly said he would have been 15 when he made one of those tweets, and that may have been true, but it looks like his team is on a frenzied deletion spree to clear his schedule.
As it is, fans online are getting excited by the tweets from Metro Boomin. See the reactions below.
