The Mew split up. The Danish band will say goodbye and celebrate their 30th anniversary with a pair of concerts next year. Check out those tour dates and statements from the band and frontman Jonas Bjerre, below.
Singer Jonas Bjerre, drummer Silas Utke Graae Jørgensen, bassist Johan Wohlert and guitarist Bo Madsen formed Mew in 1995. They released their first studio album, A triumph for manin 1997, and eventually was under the Sony Music umbrella for albums including Frenger and they single him out And the Glass Kites. Madsen left Mew after 2015 + –and Mew went on to release just one studio album, in 2017 Optically.
