A year ago, Michael Bibi was enduring a rigorous treatment regimen for CNS lymphoma, a rare form of cancer. With clear scan results and unbridled optimism, the DJ has now announced his long-awaited return to Miami for Art Basel 2024.
The event will mark Link Miami Rebels' first block party, transforming the street next to Miami's iconic courthouse into a euphoric paradise for tech house lovers.
Bibi last played in Miami in March 2023, when she performed during the Club Space label takeover during Miami Music Week following her performance at the Ultra Music Festival alongside Maceo Plex.
News of Bibi's long-awaited return to Miami follows the emotional news of her one-year cancer scan, which came back clear.
“This week will mark one year since I received my new cells during a full stem cell transplant and finished my cancer treatment,” Bibi said in a celebratory post on Instagram. “For context, the first year is the most dangerous part of the journey. Now, as we move forward, things can start to relax. I feel very grateful and happy. Thank you to everyone who has been patient and supported me until this “Life is slowly coming back. And this news means I'm officially ready to start traveling outside of Europe again.”
