Matthew Modine has revealed that he will referee Strange things co-star Millie Bobby Brown's upcoming wedding to Jake Bongiovi, Jon Bon Jovi's son.
Modine confirmed her role in the upcoming nuptials with Daily access's Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover, saying, “I have one of those licenses to get people married and Millie thought it would be cool and then Jake said it would be a great idea, so I wrote the wedding vows and they loved what I did.” . Next, Modine, who plays Strange things' Dr. Martin Brenner said, “It is such a beautiful thing to be able to unite two people in holy matrimony.” He later reflected on his 44-year marriage and said, “It's amazing when it works.”
Modine then speculated whether Dr. Brenner could return for season 5 of Strange things. “I think the interesting thing about Dr. Brenner is: how did he get that job?” he said. “How do you go to the government and say 'I want to do these experiments on little kids and teach them psychic powers?' So my question was always: was he number 0? Was he the first boy? Did he possess that kind of power to be able to teach people?

As for Brown and Bongiovi, they first announced their engagement in April 2023. Last month, Bongiovi's father saying that the couple is “madly in love and we love them both for it.”
