Today marks a major milestone in Mochakk's hot career as he opens the doors to his new nightclub and cultural space in his hometown of Sorocaba, Brazil.
The club is called Obliquemaking a play on the Portuguese word “Oblíquo”. According to the club websiteThe term captures the concept of a shifted perspective or a tilted view.
“OBLIQO will be the first space in the city dedicated to promoting and strengthening the national music scene,” the site states.
OBLIQO will also host a series of visual exhibits and workshops designed to “connect artists with audiences” and cultivate the region’s electronic music community. The workshops will be “led by industry veterans, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to learn from some of the best in the field,” according to a press release.

The release of OBLIQO coincides with the release of Mochakk's highly anticipated EP, Ibiza locomotive 2099 II on Circoloco Records. The first installment of the album was released on July 26 and includes a song with vocals by Mochakk himself, “The Line.”
Part two includes three energizing tracks that showcase the producer’s stellar production skills. “No Boys Allowed (OG House Mix)” featuring Tommy Genesis heats up the dance floor, followed by “Estribeira” featuring Brazilian artist Artisian. Lastly, a “Street Mix” of “No Boys Allowed” closes the EP in atmospheric fashion.
The official launch of OBLIQO will take place on Friday 6th September with a sold-out launch party to celebrate Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 II. The EP will be released on the same day.
