Modest Mouse is restocking its store Official Reverb Store with over 500 pieces of equipment and souvenirs, starting September 5.
The band was one of several major artists to launch an official Reverb store in recent years, selling rare items and instruments that appeared on album recordings, tours, or simply existed in frontman Isaac Brock's exhaustive collection.

“I would go to the music store and buy anything that looked interesting to me,” Brock told Reverb. “I could return it or resell it, but I didn’t. I was like, ‘Hey, you’ll have a purpose someday. ’ I was terrified that if I didn’t have a bunch of new gear and tools to work with, I would make the same songs.”
The new release includes hundreds of new items including amps, synths, guitars, microphones and much more. Highlights include:
- Four circuit-modified Speak and Spells, including one used on “Wooden Soldiers” from the 2021 album The golden chest
- A variety of synthesizers, including a Moog Sub 37 (used in the studio and on tour for the 2015 album Strangers to Ourselves), a Moog Mother-32, and an Arp Odyssey, among others.
- Various Fender amps and a huge selection of effects pedals, from affordable pedals from Boss and TC Electronic to boutique pedals from Meris and Empress
- A massive 150-watt Soursound Audio custom amplifier, complete with travel case
- Three gold Telefunken M80 microphones that have been used on Modest Mouse tours
The store also stocks Modest Mouse ephemera (posters, signs, etc.) dating back to 2001, as well as one particular rarity: a set of three connected stadium chairs that Brock says were at the Shreveport Fairgrounds during Elvis’ 1956 performance, where the term “Elvis has left the building” was first used. All items will have a fixed price (they will not be auctioned off).
Meanwhile, Modest Mouse will transport the equipment that They are not selling out on their upcoming tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of Good news for people who love bad newsThe walk starts at the end of October (get tickets) here).
