Is Moneybagg Yo Ready To Release A Country album? So it seems, according to the artist's interview Advertising sign on the BET Awards carpet on Sunday (June 30).
Talking to me Advertising sign“Said Sum” rapper Carl Lamarre discussed for the first time his hit collaboration with Morgan Wallen, “Whiskey Whiskey,” which debuted at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Expressing his feelings about the song's success, Moneybagg Yo said: “It feels good and it's kind of going the way we planned it, where he was really pushing me for it and I was like, 'Uh,' but then, you know because it's always something new for you and unexpected… he'll go crazy right now.'
Asked if the success of 'Whiskey Whiskey' is making him consider leaning more into the country space, Moneybagg Yo said Advertising sign“After these next two albums that I'm getting ready to release before the summer is over, after that, going into the winter or something, I think I'll do a country album, a country EP or something.”
As Usher was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BET Awards, Moneybagg Yo also noted that his favorite Usher album is the 2004 project Confessions, which included the smash hits “Burn,” “Yeah!” and “My Boo.” Usher was honored with an all-star tribute that included Childish Gambino, Latto, Keke Palmer, Teyana Taylor and Victoria Monét.
“Whiskey Whiskey” is from the Moneybagg Yo album Speak nowwhich was released on June 14. The project also features collaborations with Rob49, Chris Brown, Lil Durk, YTB Fatt and Kevo Muney.
