Morgan Wallen doesn't always bring out guest artists at his concerts, so when he does, fans know they're in for a treat. During his headlining show at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., on Thursday night (August 1) as part of his One Night at a Time tour, the country star welcomed Country Music Hall of Famers Brooks & Dunn and CMA and ACM artist of the year winner Lainey Wilson to perform with him.
B&D's Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks joined Wallen for his exit before the show earlier in the evening at Arrowhead Stadium, before later teaming up to perform B&D's 1991 hit “Neon Moon.” Meanwhile, Wilson joined Wallen to sing his recent release, “Lies Lies Lies.”
This isn't the first time Wallen has shown his love for the slow country ballad “Neon Moon.” In 2022, he released an acoustic cover of the song and welcomed Ronnie Dunn to the run it with him the same year. Brooks & Dunn are known for their love of collaborations, having previously released in 2019 Restart album, which featured collaborations with artists such as Luke Combs, Jon Pardi, Brothers Osborne and Kacey Musgraves, who performed “Neon Moon” with B&D on the album.
Wilson just released another collaboration of her own, teaming up with Miranda Lambert for “Good Horses,” which will be featured on Wilson's upcoming album. Tornado. Bringing things full circle, Lambert co-wrote the No. 1 Billboard Country Airplay by Wallen, “Thought You Should Know,” which Lambert co-wrote with Wallen and Nicolle Galyon.
