Mötley Crüe has opened the doors of a virtual museum that they have named The Crüeseum. The online experience invites fans to view the band's personal archives.
According to a press release, “This living, breathing virtual museum, developed in partnership with Definitive Authentic/Inveniem, features memorabilia ranging from stage clothing, photographs, instruments to memorabilia and many other gems, many of which have never been seen by the public.”
The Crüeseum launches with three different collections: “Shout at the Devil,” which features a celebration of Crüe’s 1983 album of the same name; “On with the Show”, which details the band's touring life; and “Home Sweet Home – Los Angeles,” a “dirty love letter” to his hometown.
Fans can head to Crueseum website to view all previous exhibits, and it is expected that more items from the band's archive will be added over time. Additionally, Mötley Crüe is reviving their '80s fan club, SIN Club, and details are at the same link.
In other news, former Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars has scored a victory of sorts in his ongoing legal battle with the band. A judge ruled Tuesday (January 16) that Crüe will have to cover Mars' legal expenses in his efforts to obtain the band's documents. The guitarist's financial dispute with Mötley Crüe will now move to private arbitration.
With new guitarist John 5 in tow, Mötley Crüe has scheduled a some concerts from 2024, including a handful of festival gigs. Get tickets to their upcoming shows here.
