Mötley Crüe is back to square one. The legendary metal band announced on Tuesday (September 10) that they will be supporting their upcoming new EP, Canceledwith a return to their old 1980s soccer stomping grounds on Los Angeles' Sunset Strip as part of what they're calling the Höllywood takeover.
The three concerts were teased over Labor Day weekend, when flyers promoting concerts at The Roxy, Troubadour and Whiskey a Go Go appeared throughout LA tickets for the concerts — Oct. 7 at the Troubadour, Oct. 9 at The Roxy and October 11 at the Whiskey a Go Go — will be released to the general public on Saturday (September 14) at 1 p.m. ET exclusively at the box office of the three venues as hard tickets. Sales are limited to two tickets per person, with more information available here.
For reference, in July the band headlined the 17,000-capacity Scotiabank Saddledome at this year's Calgary Stampede festival, while the LA club's three shows will be headlined by 500 Crüebadours each.
The three shows will support the upcoming (October 4) release of their three-song EP, which includes new songs “Dogs of War” and the title track, as well as their sensational cover of the Beastie Boys. The beloved Billboard Hot 100 No. 7 of 1986 “Fight For Your Right”. Along with the club shows, the band will host a pop-up shop with exclusive merchandise curated by the band slated to open on October 6 at another iconic Sunset Strip joint, the Rainbow Bar and Grill. the store will remain open until October 12 daily from 3 p.m. until midnight.
As part of their return to the rooms where they made their bones in the 1980s, Crüe have announced a new philanthropic endeavor, the Mötley Crüe Giveback initiative, which will see them partner with many non-profit organizations close to their hearts, including teenage homelessness. organization Covenant House. An auction for two pairs of tickets to the Troubadour show opened Tuesday — click here to bid — and will be followed by another auction starting Sept. 30 featuring rare collectible instruments played on stage from each of the three shows.
The band – singer Vince Neil, drummer Tommy Lee, bassist Nikki Sixx and youngest member, guitarist John 5 – will also host a charity dinner at the Rainbow on October 8, with proceeds benefiting Covenant House.
